GoodReads Description:

A simple mission turned deadly.

Nineteen-year-old vampire Dawn has led a sheltered life within the confines of her father’s presidential headquarters. Upon being sent on a mission to revamp four goofy misfits into guardians of a peaceful little town of Angel Creek, Dawn believes that all her dreams have finally come true. What starts off as a simple task, turns into something unexpected, changing Dawn’s life forever and leading the action-loving, thrill-seeking vampire teen on a path of mystery, danger and intrigue.

When a human girl is kidnapped by a group of rogue vamps, Dawn discovers that there is more going on in Angel Creek than meets the eye. And it all connects to Ethan, the cute newcomer who seems too perfect to be true, Sebastian, the mysterious vampire with a turbulent past, and even Dawn herself. Dawn must not only succeed in revamping the troubled recruits, but must also prevent the vampire race from being overtaken by a malevolent villain who has a strange and obsessive fascination with her. As threat escalates, romance blooms, and ghosts from her past begin to surface, Dawn is sure of only one thing: her life will never be the same.

Review:

ReVamped is such an original story! Its so refreshing to read a vampire story that doesn’t, not even once, remind me of twilight. This book is stocked full of action, suspense, mystery, and just a pinch of romance. Adams is such an intelligent writer who took vampires to a different level. A level that was really cool at that! All the while leaving in some of the age-old folklore associated with them.

Dawn, is a 19 year old vampire, in actual years. She is sent on her first mission to help the new guardians of a town called Angel Creek. When she gets there she realizes that she has a lot more on her plate than she originally expected. I really like this character, i would say her only flaw is that she is too trusting at the get-go. I feel like some things could have been solved a bit easier if she would of had intuition. My favorite character in the book is Sophie! She is so sweet and although older than most of them is very naive about her life and who she is. Its nice to see her evolve throughout the course of the book. Her romance with the Sebastian is really well written, light enough as it should be for a YA book.

The only flaw-ish in this book is that the author tends to get off course while writing the book. Sometimes I was a little overwhelmed with how much detail is given, especially in the first few chapters. Despite that, its definitely a page turner and is a fun read! Thanks to Ada for giving me the opportunity to read ReVamped! I am impatiently waiting for ReAwakened to be released this summer!
